Beer Battle City

Setup:
Beer Battle City is played with 21 cups on each side of the table. We use bpong.com tables and 16 oz. cups. One cup is filled to the top and place in the center of the end section of the table. The other twenty cups are filled with your standard 3-4 ounces of beer, and placed in a perimiter along the outside of the section, creating a wall of cups for your city.

BBC Starting Formation

Gamplay:
The game can be played with 2-4 players per team (5 gets to be too many, but is do-able as well). Each player on a team gets one shot per turn, and the object is to hit the cups that form the wall on the other side of the table. Once there are only 8 cups left, the wall can be broken down to form a tighter wall around the center cup, shown below.

BBC: After the Re-Rack

The key is the middle cup. Once a team has gotten the initial wall on the other side of the table down to 8 cups, they have to hit the middle cup for the rerack. If they do hit that cup, the other team reracks the cups and drinks the full beer (and refills/replaces the cup in the middle). If the full cup is hit prior to the rerack, the shooting team has to drink the full beer (then refill/replace). To add a twist, if a shot is bounced (either intentionally or accidentally) into the middle cup prior to a re-rack situation, the defending team must drink/replace the full cup in the middle. To win the game, the middle cup must again be hit after the 8 reracked 'wall' cups are all hit. Of course, if all players on a team hit their shots, a rollback is in play.
