Battleship Beirut
| Setup: | |
| Battleship is played like the legendary game from Milton Bradley. With Bing Bong Tables and 16 oz. cups, each side has 36 cups set up in a 6x6 square. 24 cups are filled with the standard amount of beer for a game of Beirut/beer pong. The other twelve are filled with Jager, or whatever punishing liquid you want to use for the ‘ships’. | |
| With only a 6x6 war zone, we play with the following four ships: | |
| Battleship (4 cups) Cruiser (3 cups) Submarine (3 cups) Destroyer (2 cups) |
|
| The cups for each ship are then arranged consecutively in a row or column. | |

| With both of the following versions, the Jager cups are ships (Battleship ‘hits’), and the beer cups are open water (Battleship ‘misses’). | |
| (1) Each team gets as many shots per turn as they have ships. Therefore, each team starts with 4 shots per turn, with the teams alternating turns. (If there are more or less team members per number of shots for that team, rotate as necessary). If Team A ‘sinks’ one of Team B’s ships by hitting all of the cups that designate a ship, then Team B gets one less shot per turn. The game is over when one team sinks all of the other team’s ships. | |
| (2) With bigger groups (4+ players per team), we’ve found it better for gameplay to start each team with 3 shots per turn. When Team A sinks a ship from Team B, then Team A gets one more shot per turn (no decrease of shots for Team B). Increasing the shots per turn keeps the game moving along, which keeps people shooting, drinking, and having fun. | |
